celebrating 75 years of the "Grey FergY" and featuring the Garden Tractor - all of which will be plOughing!

A weekend event of History in Action featuring early tractor ploughing. 

See the Museum's streetscape of period buildings, appreciate the extensive local artefact collection, watch working tractors, past farming practices and lost trades and join in the fun with the model railway, vintage cars and woodturners. 

Both days will have a 2pm grand parade and all day food from the Museum's kitchen.

The Hamilton Pastoral Museum holds two Open Days annually.

  • MAY - the weekend following Mother's Day
  • OCTOBER - the second weekend in October

Events include ploughing demonstrations, the Grand Parade, Miniature Railway, Vintage Vehicles, Engines, food and much more.

Train Rides

The Hamilton Model Trains and Miniature Rail Club  hold open days on the first Sunday of every month.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Held annually in March each year, this is a fun filled day out for all the family!  We have train rides, vintage car rides, and lots of things for the kids. 

Bring your Teddy to ride the trains!

Club Rallys

The Hamilton & District Veteran Vintage & Classic Drivers Club conduct two Club drives per month and an annual weekend rally. Open to members only.
